Over 200years hunting is a determining part of our family´s history. Generations of Hohenlehen´s landlords have been engaged to Austrian tradition in hunting.
Our romantic and beautyful hunting grounds are mostly in the lower Austrian alps 450m sea level up to the mountain pastures. Our 800hectare fence-protected area includes about 20ha meadows and fields, and we are proud to be able to guide our guests on approx. 45 kilometer deerstalking. During hunting we stay with our guests in hunting lodges (4 sleeping berths per lodge) which are of course furnished with modern comfort and provide a resting place in the forest.
Modern hunting management and the service of trained forest rangers and huntsmen provide the
abundance of species and high wildlife stock, considering all the natural resources.
In the Hohenlehen hunting grounds you can hunt
red deer,
chamois,
mouflon,
roe deer
and ibex.
